Meet the Consultant

Senior Consultant and Owner Leslie Peters Browne, MS Ed.

Leslie Peters Browne began her career in Education in 2006 as an Afterschool Counselor. Falling in love with the allure of educating young children and witnessing them accomplish milestones for the very first time, she assumed higher positions. After five years, she had taught at many levels and in many capacities. In 2013, she obtained her master’s degree in early childhood education from Long Island University and began her educational directorship at Our Kids Place Country Day, Inc. (OKP) in the Queens and Nassau areas of New York. In her first year, she obtained the NYC Pre-K for All Program (UPK) at the center. The grant awarded three classrooms to the school and enabled them to offer free full-day pre-k to children in the community. At OKP, she has worked with master teachers, student teachers, and interns to offer meaningful coaching and workshop experiences that enhance their teaching skills. In recent years, she began offering workshops to educate and support families. She oversaw and obtained the school’s NAEYC Accreditation status in 2018. She is also a Professional Development Specialist for the CDA Council for Professional Recognition as well as a Teachstone Pre-K CLASS Observer. In May 2020, she was invited as panelist on the Hi Mama Webinar Series to discuss reopening childcare centers, post COVID-19.
